About jGCC

Open Access

The journal adheres to the principles of Fair Open Access. In particular, the journal provides immediate open access to its content, no subscription is necessary. Moreover, the journal does not charge authors for publication in the journal: there are no submission fees and no article processing charges.

Copyright

The authors retain the copyright on their papers, which are published under a Creative Commons license.

Editorial Policy

Papers submitted to the journal are handled by a member of the Editorial Board, chosen by the Managing Editors. Upon submission, authors are asked to propose a handling Editor. The handling Editor may decide that the paper does not fit the journal's scope or standards, or s/he may seek an independent assessment of the qualities of the paper.

jGCC publishes only original papers which have not been published previously, nor are being submitted for publication elsewhere.

The journal adheres to the Code of Practice of the EMSPlagiarism and duplicate publication are considered to be misconduct and will not be tolerated. Papers found to correspond to such a case of misconduct will be removed from the journal's site and the facts of the case will be reported.

History

The journal was published by Heldermann Verlag in 2009 and by Walter de Gruyter from 2010 to 2019 under the title Groups, Complexity, Cryptology. The move to a non-commercial platform was made in 2020, after de Gruyter insisted on introducing article processing charges.
